The museum's archives consist of letters, books, journals, advertising, scrapbooks, family files, cemetery records, town and village records, yearbooks, and magazines. The museum also maintains a reference and research library .
Our Photographic archives consist of over 5,000 images that have been digitized are searchable at the museum by subject on our PastPerfect database. The public is invited to view these images. A staff person will assist you.
Our Library - The Potsdam Public Museum has an extensive library of books, magazines, yearbooks and other items about Potsdam and St. Lawrence County history and other related topics, which are available for reading and research purposes at the Museum.
Our Lending Library - We also have a large collection of books about Antiques, Collectibles, and Decorative Arts, many of which are not obtainable through the North Country Library system. These books are available for signing out for two weeks for people living in the local area. If you click below, you will find a listing of all books we currently have available for borrowing.
